Q. How much do we charge?

No upfront costs! Our final fee is 25% (plus VAT) of any financial benefit received. This fee is only applicable to successful claims and the costs are to be met when you come to a final agreement.

 

No win no fee!  If your claim is unsuccessful we will not charge you.  Falcon & Pointer also don't ask for any upfront fees meaning you have nothing to lose.


Q. What is PPI?

PPI (or Payment Protection Insurance) is usually sold alongside loans, mortgages, credit cards or any other financial agreements as a form of cover in cases of accident, sickness and unemployment where you can no longer afford to repay your lender.


Q. How do I know if I have PPI?

Your bank or loan statements should itemise ‘PPI’ as a separate charge and so this is the quickest way to establish whether you have the policy or not, although this may not apply to cases such as single premium PPI. Q. How do I claim back my mis-sold PPI?

All banks offer a free complaints service and you have the power to lodge a complaint on your own behalf. However, as well as being a notoriously time-consuming and laborious process, banks may try to offer you a repayment which doesn’t justify the full amount you are entitled to. Q. Can I afford for you to handle my claim?

Falcon & Pointer will take 25% (plus VAT) of any financial benefit you receive as a result of the claim. We operate on a “no-win, no-fee” basis which means that you will only be paying this amount if your claim is successful – if unsuccessful, you won’t owe us a penny.


Q. How long will my claim take?

The Financial Services Authority (FSA) states that complaints should be dealt with by the lender/insurer within 8 weeks, although in some cases these timescales are not able to be complied with, such as where the lender/insurer requires further information or is simply unable to respond in time and requires an extension. We monitor the lender/insurer dealing with your complaint continually to ensure that your claim is dealt with as quickly as possible, we prefer to work with insurers to enable them to conclude their investigation by providing information and reminders in the first instance. Where an offer is made, the case is usually completed within 3-4 months. Where a claim is rejected and is referred to the FOS it may take significantly longer to receive a final decision so it is difficult to give precise timescales, however it can take as long as 6-9 months to settle in such circumstances. Our team is committed to completing your case as soon as possible by providing the lender/insurer with the necessary information at the beginning of the claims process and ensuring that requests for further information by the insurer are dealt with quickly and professionally.


Q. Will making a claim affect my relationship with the bank?

NO. If you have been mis-sold a product you are fully entitled to claim back your money. Banks have started to begrudgingly accept that they have done wrong and so reclaiming your PPI will not place any sort of ‘black mark’ on your relationship with the bank.
